Detailed features

Monocoque technology

The frame is made from a single, non-dismantlable die-cast moulding, making it considerably more durable and aesthetically pleasing because the balance bike has no welds.

Pneumatic spoked wheels

The rubber pneumatic wheels provide comfort and grip. They help your child get used to riding a “real” bike. The spoked rim is strong, less prone to deformation and provides good shock absorption.

Carry handle

Stairs in the way? No problem! The frame features a convenient handle that makes it easy to carry the balance bike over any obstacle.

Magnesium alloy

The frame is made from a special magnesium alloy that is approximately 75% lighter than steel. This makes it lightweight while remaining durable and resistant to damage. It also provides additional natural shock absorption.

Smooth handlebar and saddle adjustment

Both the handlebar and saddle can be precisely adjusted to your child’s current height and needs to support an ergonomic position. The frame also incorporates a comfortable footrest.

Soft steering limiter

Prevents sudden manoeuvres and helps keep the ride smooth. In the event of a fall, however, the handlebars can move gently, helping to minimise the risk of your child catching on them.

Design & paintwork

The balance bike’s distinctive design stands out beautifully alongside its matt paintwork, with all colours applied in the same layer. It simply makes an impression.

Genuine, solid bearings

The balance bike is fitted with mechanical ball bearings and high-quality machine bearings, like those used in good, “real” bicycles. The bearings ensure smooth and quiet operation of components such as the handlebars, saddle and wheels. Thanks to them, the bike performs better and lasts longer.

FAQ

How do I install and adjust the handlebars on the Bart Air balance bike?

Insert the stem with the cap marked B into the opening in the handlebars, then place the handlebars into the front fork. Set the wheels straight, in the forward-riding position, and adjust the handlebar height to your child’s height, within the range of 50–57 cm. The insertion-depth marker C must remain inside the frame. Tighten the stem with the hex key included in the set until you feel resistance, then check that the handlebars are stable.

How do I install and adjust the saddle on the Bart Air balance bike?

Loosen the nut on the saddle clamp, then insert the seat post into the opening in the frame. Set the height to suit your child’s height, within the range of 38–45 cm. The insertion-depth marker A should be inside the frame and must not be visible. Finally, tighten the clamp nut firmly and check that the saddle is stable.

How do I install the wheels on the Bart Air balance bike?

Before installation, position the tread of the front wheel in the same direction as the tread of the rear wheel. Place the wheel in the fork by inserting one end of the hub into the designated opening first, followed by the other end. Do not bend the fork excessively during this process. Secure the hub to the fork with the screws, making sure that the grooved side of the washer faces the bike frame.

How does a child ride and brake on the Bart Air balance bike?

The child rides while sitting on the saddle and alternately pushing off the ground with their feet. Once they have gained momentum, they can lift their feet to ride freely. They change direction by turning the handlebars and balancing their body. Braking is done by touching the ground with their feet.

How do I clean and care for the Bart Air balance bike?

Clean the Bart Air balance bike with a damp cloth, then wipe it dry after washing. Do not use corrosive or abrasive cleaning products, as they may damage the product’s surface.
